Inland Global Business Project:

Addressing Health Disparities in Tanzania

The KCO Inland Global Business Project (IGBP) addresses economic and health disparities in East Africa, with a specific focus on the Mwanza region of Tanzania. This region consists of remote villages where many homes lack basic needs like food; running water; adequate, affordable healthcare; and electricity. We partner with inland-based visionaries to build capacity, conduct training, and facilitate partnerships with global consumers and vendors that help strengthen economic viability and access to affordable healthcare.

CURRENT INITIATIVE: LIFE-SAVING HEALTHCARE IN REMOTE VILLAGES

In September 2024, KCO announced its partnership with the Shipula Medical Center in Shigala, Tanzania to bring life-saving healthcare to residents in Tanzanian villages.

From now through December, we’re on a mission to meet our first fundraising goal of $5,000 to make affordable healthcare a reality for residents in need. Your support will help:

- Lower the cost of medical treatment

- Purchase essential x-ray and ultrasound machines

- Establish an insurance fund for families with limited access to healthcare

Join us in making a lasting impact! Every dollar counts in transforming lives. Donate today and be part of this life-changing mission.

Why is this a critical need?

Adequate healthcare is limited in this region due to financial insecurity and the distance between the villages and major cities and hospitals. The Gross National Income in Tanzania in 2022 was $1,200 per year, which is not enough for most families to survive and take care of health concerns. Therefore, we often hear stories of our friends and neighbors in this region who pass away prematurely due to healthcare issues that were treatable and preventable. Our partnership with Shipula Medical Clinic will make medicine for treatable diseases like Malaria accessible.
