This initiative is part of our Inland Global Business Project, which addresses economic and health disparities in East Africa, with a specific focus on the Mwanza region of Tanzania. This region consists of remote villages where many homes lack basic needs like food; running water; adequate, affordable healthcare; and electricity. We partner with inland-based visionaries to build capacity, conduct training, and facilitate partnerships with global consumers, vendors, and donors that help strengthen economic viability and access to affordable healthcare.

Every boy has the potential to grow into a confident, respectful, and responsible man, but it takes intentional guidance and mentorship to help him get there. That’s why we’re excited to announce Boys to Men Mentoring Program, led by KCO Co-Founder Rev. Ray J. Watson. This program, designed for boys in 2nd to 5th grade, is more than just an after-school activity—it’s an investment in the future. This program is for boys in Waller County, Texas, with hopes to expand to middle and high school students in future years.
Empowering Young Boys to Reach Their Full Potential
The Boys to Men Mentoring Program will run twice per month throughout the 2024-2025 school year, providing consistent and engaging mentorship. The primary goal of this initiative is to help young boys develop the essential skills and character traits they need to navigate life’s challenges successfully. Through structured activities, personal mentorship, and community involvement, the program will focus on three core areas of growth:
1. Building Self-Confidence: Many young boys struggle with self-doubt, especially in the formative years of elementary school. The Boys to Men program is designed to help participants discover their own strengths and develop a healthy sense of self-worth. By fostering self-confidence, we aim to empower boys to make positive decisions and pursue their goals fearlessly.
2. Improving Relationships with Others: Social skills are crucial for success in all aspects of life, and the Boys to Men program will teach boys how to build positive relationships with peers, teachers, and family members. Through group activities and role-playing, boys will learn effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
3. Mastering Honesty, Responsibility, and Respect: Integrity, accountability, and respect for others are values that can shape a boy’s entire future. Through Rev. Ray’s mentorship and the guidance of guest speakers, boys will learn the importance of being honest, taking responsibility for their actions, and treating others with kindness and respect.
Special Guest Speakers
One of the program’s highlights is the exciting lineup of guest speakers who will share their life experiences and wisdom. Boys will have the opportunity to hear from business owners, educators, an engineer, veterans, and other professionals who exemplify the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity. These role models will inspire the boys to dream big, take responsibility for their futures, and understand the value of education, discipline, and service.
Team building and Community
Each meeting will include a focus on team building to help the youth develop interpersonal relationships and learn to develop collaborative skills that will empower them as team players. Each semester, there will be a major community activity off-site to help the boys get accustomed to serving their communities and while witnessing the power of service.

KCO’S Literacy Crusaders Sends 75 Children’s Books to Ghana
The KCO Literacy Crusaders initiative sent 75 books to Ghana as part of a book drive to benefit the African Library Project, a non-profit that has raised over 4 million books for libraries in Africa.
In April, Kingdom Commission Outreach’s Literacy Crusaders initiative sent seventy-five children’s books to Ghana, West Africa as part of a book drive in Houston to benefit the African Library Project, a non-profit organization that has raised over 4 million books for libraries in Africa.
With a goal to advance reading and writing levels in underserved communities, the KCO Literacy Crusaders initiative provides three main services:
1. We build easy-access libraries providing 24-7 availability to free books in literacy-impoverished communities with high populations of at-risk youth.
2. We provide books to schools, group homes, and other community organizations at home and abroad.
3. Members of our team volunteer to mentor students, read at schools, and speak about literacy at conferences and events.
